Features text of amendments to the Constitution of Mongolia adopted on 14 November 2019 and unofficial English translation, Resolution of the Parliament on Oyu Tolgoi deposit statements by member of Parliament

Features a speech by S.Batbold, Chairman of MDSI at the Mongolian People’s Party Conference in 2010. As a party chairman and Prime Minister at that time, he proposed the revival of the original party name “People’s Party” instead of “People’s Revolutionary Party”, which was overwhelmingly supported by the conference. He made major reform proposals such as reform of the civil service on the basis of principle of merit, amendments of the Constitution to enable more efficient decision-making, translating economic growth to poverty reduction and human development, introduction of international standards educational systems to public schools, etc. These were all ground breaking reforms which all later resulted in major reform actions such as introduction of Cambridge educational system to public schools in 2011, amendment of Civil Service law in 2017, amendments to Constitution in 2019, introduction of Human development fund along the line of Singapore’s CPF among others. MDSI co-hosted  Boao Forum for Asia Ulaanbaatar Forum. The issue features speech by Prime Minister Ch.Khurelsukh and Foreign Minister Tsogtbaatar Damdin at the opening event.

Regional Energy Workshop

From December 9 through December 12, 2019, Mongolia Development Strategy Institute hosted, in collaboration with Nautilus Institute for Security and Sustainability, a Regional Energy Workshop. The Workshop was attended by participants from research institutes of Mongolia, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Russia, China, the United States and Europe. Workshop sessions included presentations on energy trends and energy policy in each of the nations of the region, presentations and discussions on energy cooperation opportunities and challenges in Northeast Asia, electricity grid modeling and data sharingfor international grid interconnections, and renewable mini- and macro-grid trends and development in the countries of the region and beyond. The participants toured the Salkhit windfarm south of Ulaanbaatar on the workshop's final day.
